Since Subnautica 2 uses P2P networking, the host handles all connections. I recommend the host to have a good internet connection and a powerful CPU, especially beyond 8 players.

⚠️ Common Installation Mistakes
Please read before posting a bug report!
• UE4SS and dwmapi.dll must be extracted directly into Win64 or WinGDK — not inside a subfolder[/*]
• TooManyDivers must be placed directly inside Mods — not nested inside another folder[/*]
• When unzipping, make sure to move TooManyDivers out of any parent folder[/*]
• enabled.txt must be present inside the TooManyDivers folder[/*]

❓ FAQ
Q: Does everyone need to install the mod?
A: No only the host needs it confirmed by the community! But if you want to play full safety everyone can install it.
Q: How do I know if the mod is working?
A: Host a multiplayer session → open the Escape menu → Friends List. The limit should now show 16 instead of 4.
Q: Is it safe in solo?
A: Yes the mod only affects multiplayer session limits and has no impact on solo play.
Q: Why do disconnects happen with many players?
A: Subnautica 2 uses P2P networking. High player counts put strain on the host's CPU and connection. This is a game engine limitation, not a mod bug.
Q: Can I remove the mod mid-playthrough?
A: Yes delete the TooManyDivers folder. No game files are modified.
Q: Does the mod send any data externally?
A: No. No telemetry, no external calls. Fully client-side and open source.
Q: Could not find the UE version?
A: Add this to your UE4SS config file:

Q: The limit still shows 4 after installation?
A: Almost always a folder structure issue check the Common Installation Mistakes section above!
Q: I can hear a strange noise getting louder and louder?
