Terms of service

By creating an account or using Subnautica 2 Mod Hub ("the site") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

We are an independent fan-made community hub for Subnautica 2 mods. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, Krafton, or any rights-holder of the Subnautica franchise.

• You must be at least 13 years old to register an account.
• You are responsible for the security of your password and any activity on your account.
• You may only register one account. Multi-account abuse may result in a ban.
• Impersonating other users, developers, or staff is forbidden.

You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site. By uploading, you confirm that:

• You created the content or have permission to redistribute it.
• The content does not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code.
• Mod files hosted on external services (Dropbox, MEGA, GitHub, etc.) are your responsibility — broken or removed links may be cause for removal of the listing.
• The content is not illegal, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or promoting violence.
• The content does not violate Unknown Worlds' or Krafton's intellectual property beyond reasonable fan-modding norms.

• Harassment, hate speech, or targeted attacks on other users.
• Spam, link-bombing, or low-effort content posted to game the algorithm.
• Distributing malware or links to malicious sites.
• Attempting to bypass moderation, rate limits, or RLS policies.
• Reverse-engineering, scraping at scale, or otherwise abusing the service.
• False reporting — abuse of the report system may itself be cause for a ban.

We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or ban users at our discretion if they violate these terms. Mod submissions go through a moderation queue before becoming publicly visible.

Donations are voluntary and processed via Stripe. They grant a non-transferable cosmetic supporter badge. Donations are not refundable except where required by law. We may revoke the badge for accounts found to be in violation of these terms.

The site is provided "as-is" with no warranty. We are not liable for:

• Damage caused by mods downloaded from external links.
• Loss of save data, system instability, or modding-related issues.
• Downtime, data loss, or third-party service interruptions.

Always back up your game saves before installing mods.

You may delete your account at any time from settings. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms. Content created by deleted accounts may remain on the site in anonymised form if removing it would damage threaded discussions.

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced via the news feed. Continuing to use the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the site operator resides. Disputes will be resolved in good faith first; failing that, in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
