Increase the maximum connection distance of power transmitters from the default range to 50 meters. This allows power networks to span larger gaps with fewer transmitters, making remote generators and spread-out bases easier to connect without turning the landscape into a forest

Features
• Increases power transmission range to 50 meters [/*]
• Applies the new distance to power transmission settings and node components [/*]
• Automatically patches newly created power nodes [/*]
• Configurable through the included Lua file [/*]
• Does not alter power generation, consumption, or storage [/*]
Configuration
Open:
PowerTransmissionDistance Scripts main.luaChange the configured distance value:
local TARGET_DISTANCE = 5000.0 --50 metersRequirements
• UE4SS [/*]
• Subnautica 2 [/*]
Installation
Extract the
PowerTransmissionDistancefolder into:
Subnautica2 Binaries Win64 ue4ss Mods The resulting structure should resemble:
ue4ss
└── Mods
└── PowerTransmissionDistance
├── enabled.txt
└── Scripts
└── main.lua
Launch the game normally. The mod will automatically patch the relevant power transmission settings.
Existing Power Connections
The increased range applies when power connections are created or recalculated.
Existing transmitter links may retain their previous connection state until a transmitter is moved, rebuilt, or otherwise causes the network to reconnect.
Uninstallation
Delete or disable the folder:
PowerTransmissionDistance
Transmitters placed farther apart than the game’s normal range may disconnect after the mod is removed or disabled.
Notes
This mod changes only the maximum distance at which compatible power nodes can establish a connection.
It does not increase:
• Power generation [/*]
• Power capacity [/*]
• Transmission speed [/*]
• The amount of power available to a base [/*]
The included 50-meter setting provides substantially more flexibility while still requiring deliberate placement of transmitters.
