SN2 Waypoints
A comprehensive, lightweight, and robust waypoint management utility for Subnautica 2. Take full control of your exploration by creating, customizing, and organizing custom map markers with an intuitive, integrated in-game UI.
Whether you need to mark a hidden cave entrance, record a rich resource deposit, or quickly jump across the map, SN2 Waypoints makes world management effortless, highly performant, and completely safe for your save files.
⚠️ Important Note for Updating to 0.4-beta:
For this version, a clean install is strongly recommended. Delete your old SN2Waypoints folder and install the new one fresh (without reusing old config files).
After updating, use the in-game Recovery option to restore markers.
Then please manually mark recovered waypoints as:

This can be tedious if you have many markers, and i know it is not ideal.
At the moment, we still do not have a fully reliable way to automatically detect and categorize game vs mod waypoints.

Engine, Optimization & Stability Focus
Unlike naive waypoint scripts, this mod has been completely refactored and optimized from the ground up to ensure maximum performance and zero conflict with the game:
• Lightweight & Clean Code – The entire codebase has been thoroughly reviewed, cleaned up, and slimmed down. By removing redundant calculations and unnecessary overhead, the mod runs with minimal performance impact and offers rock-solid, bug-free stability.[/*]
• Zero-Crash Guarantee – The tracking engine breaks down internal game "userdata" structures into raw mathematical variables before saving. This completely prevents game freezes, memory corruption, and loading crashes after using Update Pos.[/*]

How to Use
The mod features an elegant, right-hand menu overlay that displays your current coordinates, total waypoint count, active page, and control buttons.
• Press F4 (or your configured hotkey) to open and close the mod menu.[/*]
• Press F6 to instantly toggle Ghost Mode (hide/show all markers on your screen).[/*]
• PREV / NEXT – Cycles through your pages of waypoints.[/*]
• + ADD – Creates a new waypoint at your current location.[/*]
• -> TELEPORT – Instantly teleports your character to the selected waypoint.[/*]
• UPDATE POS – Updates the selected waypoint's coordinates to your current position.[/*]
• X DELETE – Removes the selected waypoint from your list.[/*]
• RENAME & @ PRESET – Give your markers custom names or apply quick name templates.[/*]
• + ADD XYZ – Manually input global X, Y, Z coordinates to create a specific waypoint.[/*]
• COLOR & ICON – Customize the appearance and icon style of your markers.[/*]
• GHOST MODE – Toggles visibility of all waypoints on and off for clean screenshots/videos.[/*]
• EXPORT / IMPORT – Back up or load your waypoint data.[/*]
• RECOVER – Restores lost waypoints if files or game updates disrupt the list.[/*]
Configuration & Settings
Accessible via the main game options menu under SN2 Waypoints:
• Enable fast travel – Toggle between (OFF) and (ON) to allow or restrict instant teleportation.[/*]
• Default marker color – A slider to set the baseline color for any newly created waypoints.[/*]
