This mod replaces Subnautica 2's new base voice with the original female seabase voice from Subnautica 1.
The voice lines do NOT use any form of generative AI. All of the lines were edited by me, by hand.
Installation instructions
1. Install a version of UE4SS configured for SN2
2. Download the latest version of this mod
3. Make sure you know where the root folder of your Subnautica2 installation is, because the unzipped file will go in there.
↪ On Steam your root folder may look like this: C: Program Files (x86) Steam steamapps common Subnautica2.
4. Unzip the Subnautica1-Seabase-Voice.zip mod file that you downloaded.
5. In the unzipped folder, you will see a folder named Subnautica2. (It should contain two subfolders: Binaries and Engine which map to existing game directories)
6. Copy the Subnautica2 folder from the unzipped mod, and then paste it into your Subnautica 2 root folder.
7. If done correctly, you will be asked if you want to replace files. You will need to allow the files to be replaced for the mod to work properly.
The goal is to 1) add the SN1BaseVoice folder into the mods folder at ... Subnautica2 Binaries Win64 ue4ss Mods , and 2) replace the base_general.bank file in the ... Subnautica2 Content FMOD Desktop folder. If you prefer to move the files manually, you may do that as well.
